Miracles
I said I never wanted my holiday to end. Truth is, I hadn’t taken a break in so long, I just extended it. For nearly a month. And I’m not even out of money yet. I guess that’s what happens when you do the sort of work I do. Yeah: don’t ask what sort of… Continue reading

Have I stayed too long at the Faire?
Have I stayed too long at the Faire? What a ridiculous question. The answer, of course, is no! But the Faire has ended officially, and the merchants are beginning to pack up their wares, those who can’t wait to go home, that is. I was a vision for the Masqued Ball, if I do say so… Continue reading

The Gypsy is Lord of the Wild and the Green, And nobody knows all the wonders he’s seen….
The Gypsy is Lord of the Wild and the Green, And Nobody knows all the Wonders he’s seen…. That’s a song my mum used to sing. Come to think of it, my dad used to sing it too, but only late, late at night, after a pint or three. Softly, and with a pain in his… Continue reading

So, Your Majesty, What did you do at the Faire today? (My New Shiny Blog Challenge)
Seriously: Why do you keep asking me that question? I shopped, of course! I shopped like a Queen! Oh! The Penguins! Remember the penguins? Lord of Free Lands All Over
The Faire stretches for miles. For miles and realms. So much to do, and people might say of my kind (and they’d be wrong!), to steal. I prefer to steal only hearts, but that is my way. Today, I took in the sights of Odyssey. A day off from the bustle of the selling tent and… Continue reading

Dragons and Butterflies, Unicorns and Wings….
I’m so easily distracted at the Faire. So easily distracted. I want to try everything at once, wear everything, buy everything! So when I discovered that I could look like a UNICORN, of course I went for it! I am dappled! I have dappling! (Seriously, this is one of the special skins made for the… Continue reading

Fantasy Faire is for Shopping!
Being a Fae Queen has its perqs. Too many to list, in fact: I’d only sound smug. Among my favourites is that no one asks any questions when I say, “I’m off to the Fantasy Faire! See you in a fortnight!”, for example. Only some of them are a little miffed when I don’t take them… Continue reading

The Journey of a Morning
I can always tell when the Fantasy Faire is coming. There’s something in the air that lets me know. Something pricks in my unusually large ears and lets me know there’s work to be done, places to go, a cause to support, and lives to save. Probably that sounds dramatic. But when I woke up this… Continue reading
