Three Twisted Knots

Tales of the Fae Lands

Bridge Troll? Check.

I knew there would be one, one day.

She didn’t say much, but apparently she had quite an altercation with Nemaine, aka Valene’s mother, aka the Carrion Crow and some kind of goddess.

I had never seen a troll before, so I stayed well to the side and made like half a dozen quick sketches.

I mean, what can you say? It’s Faerie. There is a bridge. Duh, there’s got to be a troll somewhere. I kept telling people it was going to happen, and lo! it happened. The only thing that bums me out about the whole thing is that Nathaniel wasn’t there to see it, since he’s like the one person who needs to see a bridge troll in the entire universe. Which is not to say there’s any merit to be gained from actually having seen a bridge troll, just that Nathaniel needs to have seen one. It would add to his bucket list!

Here's the troll, trying to keep an irate Padishar and a completely unimpressed Nemaine from crossing the birdge.

Fact is, I might have had a problem with a bridge troll. Aoibh might have had a problem with a bridge troll. But those two? Never had a problem with anything as unimpressive as a little old bridge troll. But damn. We’ve got a bridge troll!
