Bellisserian Voice: So Tired!

Folks, I’m going to take the night off. Galdor and I did the Crab Crawl this afternoon, and we had a great time. We also got lost, had many unfortunate (and hilarious!) Quacking Incidents, laughed a lot, and got lost a couple more times. but by the time we were done, we’d seen nine community regions and some beautiful scenery, even though we were mostly concentrating on the blue signs so we’d know where to go!

By the time I got back to my place, I was so tired I could barely hold my head up. It’s a good thing my door lock is built in to my hand. As we approached my front step, Galdor started complaining that my arm was dropping and he was afraid he was going to fall off.

I was so tired I hadn’t realised he was still with me.

“This is your dwelling?”

Oh, no. He knows where I live now.

I yawned. “Stop that:” he said. “it’s a curse that catches other folk.” And then he yawned, too.

I think I just said, “Mmmph,” or something.

“Are you going to open the door?”

“Give me a minute; my hands are full.” I’m grumpy when I’m tired.

“Give me a minute; my hands are full!” He was mocking me.

“And what are you complaining about, mister?” I asked. “You don’t live here.”

He cocked his head to one side and stared at me with those glowing green eyes. “Don’t I?”
