Because more than one person asked, The Author will finally do this. She’ll even pin it. And she’ll attempt to keep it relatively up to date as characters change and grow. Most main narrators’ stories have their own category in this blog: if you want to read about one of them, just go to the category drop-down and choose, and you’ll see only their categorised entries. • Her Fae Majesty, Queen Gwyneth of Awenia— primary blog narrator and creatrix and ruler of the Realm of Awenia. Her voice has been somewhat quiet lately as she navigates the heady waters of Realm administration along with her Prince Consort, Nathaniel.
• The Amazing Catwoman— formerly Gwyneth’s best friend Fenella, now a Svart Alfar with a keen sense of sarcasm. Currently dealing with the ins and outs of the Dragon Deliverance Society’s recent merge with the Dragon Anti-defamation Department, not to mention being Lira’s boss.
• Davi— has had multiple incarnations over the years, first as a Romani traveller, then as a Scandinavian Elf—he’s even been a merman.
• Friðrós— Gwyneth’s current intern, a huldufólk from Iceland who’s currently going through the fae equivalent of adolescence (she’s not even 300 yet!).
• Lira— a Chimerical Librarian, purpose-created to manage and curate the Great Library of Awenia, she was lost in a portal accident and is currently avoiding going back to Awenia.
• Cherish Gelato—a Human, the editor of FaeWatch, a faerie gossip rag. She once auctioned off a date with Nathaniel. Recently, she signed a contract with the Awenian leadership and became the journalistic voice of Awenia. She still thinks this was a win for her.
• Nocturna Hollygloom— a Holiday Elf. Nocturna was created for the 2023 Holiday Season, but as her story is fun to write, she may show up in other holiday-themed posts in the future. She lives to decorate her home in the kitschiest holiday stuff and dreads being belittled by her supervisor, Pixie Tinselplum.
• Avalon Blessed—The Original. Avalon is unconnected with most of Awenia Faerie, except insomuch as she is the cub reporter for FaeWatch.

Supporting Cast

• Brán— Gwyneth’s chief of staff and general majordomo in Awenia. He is meticulous, a rules lawyer, and a shutterbug.
• Clutie— spokesfaery for the Awenian demifae, Clutie is loyal, powerful, and mouthy.
• Wulfrich— Chief of Security in Awenia, Wulfrich works tirelessly to protect HFM from all threats, foreign and domestic.

• Nathaniel— Gwyneth’s long-time consort and handfastmate, one of the fathers of her three children. You can read more about Nathaniel on his Author’s blog, Home Is The Sailor. Nathaniel was elevated to the rank of Prince Consort some time ago.
• Dyisi— Gwyneth’s close confidante, she ascended to goddesshood and may never be seen in the Fae Lands again. Gwyneth and Dyisi talk often via FaeTime or phone.
• Janus— A King of the Wylds, and once Gwyneth’s King, the other father of her children (don’t think too much about it!).
• Valene— Cait Sidhe Queen and Navigatrix of the Shadow Roads. It has been many years since we have seen her; she may be lost in the Mists.
• Faermorn— Queen of the Wylds, Faermorn was part of the family who shaped Gwyneth, for good or ill, in her fae past.
• Saone— Seelie Queen in Ashmourne-that-was, she ascended and went into the mallorn tree many years ago.
• Llwyd— Fae King in Callisto, Llwydbrynnos is Saone’s son, once called the Mad Prince.
• Gwythyr Gwynn— Faermorn’s mad once-husband, his legacy is one that still inspires nightmares in all he touched.
• Blaise— Gwyneth’s foster father, whom we have not seen in many years.
• Siansa— Gwyneth’s birth mother, still un-met as she is, once Gwyneth’s tutor in Fae Court etiquette.
• Wren— Nathaniel’s adopted daughter, who may yet return for a story now and then.
• Bronwyn— Gwyneth’s eldest child, now married to Lord Mornoth and Queen in her own land.
• Drysi— Gwyneth’s middle daughter, rebellious and forthright. Drysi’s Author has retired from the Fae Lands and is loved and missed every day.
• Eilian— Gwyneth’s son, reckless and transparent, prone to headstrong acts. Eilian’s Author has departed from any Realm we can now reach, and we shall never see his like again.
