Tales of the Fae Lands

If it’s High Spring, We Have to Visit Ostara’s Altar

Always a beautiful space!

I think one of the things I love about Spring is that BCreative Wilde hosts the Ostara’s Altar event, and it’s just one of the loveliest Faires to visit, I mean, aside from the Great Faire, but more on that later. Every detail is attended to, and a day spent at one of B’s events feels like a relaxing stroll in a garden. Obviously, the shopping is terrific, but I think I’d come here just for the atmosphere. I’ll be honest with you: as soon as I saw this beautiful dress Synjari of Senzafine made, I actually made Brán portal us home immediately—so I could wear it back to the Faire! I loved balancing on these eggshells, but the fact is I was seconds away from falling over. Well, I mean, if I were mortal I’d have been seconds away from falling over. As you know (or you should know by now) a Fae Queen’s feet never actually touch the ground: we float, as is natural.

Closer to the dress….

Here I am without so much statue! The statue is beautiful of course, but I felt like a demifae next to it. My new wings are from {Aii & Ego}, and they catch the light so beautifully. You can also see that I’m wearing one of my favourite pairs of shoes, a gift from Lady Mystie! She spoils me so, and these Dryad Boots are perfect for almost everything. I am lucky to have her as a friend, even though she’s sometimes a flighty bird.

A little personal invocation

And, after hours of productive shopping, we made a little offering to the goddess of spring in her many guises. With the Great Fantasy Faire on the horizon, I am pretty sure we’re going to need all the divine help we can get, especially as it relates to smooth travels and of course the assiduous spending of good faerie gold!

By the way, did you notice the eyeshadow I’m wearing matches Synjari’s beautiful dress creation almost exactly? It’s from Hexumbra, of course; lately I’ve been wearing their makeup almost exclusively, not only because I like to support dragon fairies when I can, but also because it’s just really nice stuff.

I won’t bore you with the details of portaling back to Awenia and finding that Clutie decided since I couldn’t choose a bed she was going to put five different beds in the Royal Suite and make me choose one before sleep. She does get things in her head, Clutie does. She’s going to have to cool her jets (I had to explain what ‘jets’ were when I said this to her) and give me a little more time. All I wanted at that point was ten hours of uninterrupted sleep, and so I just fell onto the closest of the beds and let it take me. I only half-woke when I felt Nathaniel snuggling into bed next to me, and even then I only managed to murmur a hello before I was back in sleep’s arms as well as his.
