Three Twisted Knots

I’d been telling a lot of people about Willow Brandybuck and her amazing jewellery. But you know how it is when you’re a Sidhe Queen (or maybe you don’t, so I’ll tell you!): there is so much to think on and remember that some of it gets muddled up, so later, when I was telling people about things to do at the Faire, in a magical space for beings who love to change their skins, I ran across another Willow! And of course because I am easily muddled, and this thought-speak makes me dizzy sometimes, I thought she was Willow Brandybuck of the amazing jewellery, and so I was speaking to her as if she were that Willow, but it turns out she was another Willow entirely!

You see, I’d summoned Dyisi and Wren to the Faire with me, because I was lonely, or bored, or something, or maybe I just wanted some company (wait; that’s the same as lonely, isn’t it?), and there we were, in Aurora Realm, Dyisi and I arguing about mushrooms and Wren bored out of her mind, and then there was this conversation going on in my head with one Willow I thought was another Willow, and the second Willow said, “Hey! you don’t believe I am another Willow, I’ll prove it to you!”

And suddenly, while we were still frozen in our argument and Wren was still bored out of her mind, a gleaming demifae with wings of gossamer teal appeared as if by magic! OK, it was actual magic; not as if by magic. Gwyneth, Gwyneth, still such a child of the 21st century you are, girl. Get with the magical programme!

She matched the mushrooms so perfectly we almost didn’t notice her when she appeared, but then Wren jumped back and took notice, and wow! There she was!

She explained to us that she was no simple demifae: she is related to a Prince, and is properly called the Demifae of the Spring Flora. Of course, I was properly deferential when I realised she was related to a Prince, but then Dyisi made fun of me for treating royalty like royalty and I had to stick my tongue out at her. So Queenly I am. Really. Like a boss. Or a Queen. Or something.

Why did they make me Queen again? Oh, yeah: I was there. 

Anyway, we had fun trying to catch Willow, who kept arguing that she was not to be caught, and I think Dyisi was worried what would happen if they touched, considering what she did to poor Kern last time….

It was so great to meet Willow, even if it was by accident because of my muddled Sidhe Queen head. It must be the Bealtainne energy getting to me… speaking of which, where is that Consort of mine? I need him. Lots. Now. *ahem*

Willow flitted off to explore the Fairelands, and at the mere mention of shopping, Wren turned pale and demanded that I summon an orb to send her back home. So, somewhat reluctantly, because she is a total good luck charm for me with men, I sent her back.

And Dyisi and I travelled to the Realm of Odyssey to enjoy the beautiful architecture and do some shopping.

But then something happened.

I looked up.

I shouldn’t have looked up.

Because there he was, unmistakably, staring down at us. The Gypsy Davey. I pulled Dyisi into the nearest shop, which was full of mermaid fashions that she hated! They were all pastel colours, and I thought she was going to hit me with that staff of hers….

But I couldn’t stay there, knowing he was watching me. I didn’t know he was here. Why didn’t he tell me?
