Three Twisted Knots

It was all his idea, of course. You’ve never seen a little dog get so bent out of shape, all because some old witch tried to dognap him. She said he was a menace, but I think she was just lonely, and it all got away from her.

Sort of like it got away from me, after that.

Swear on my parents’ graves, I didn’t know I could do that when I got angry. So there I am, running after this beeyatch who’s got my dog for Pete’s sake, and I’m so angry I just can’t stop saying unseemly words about That Woman, and then I’m out of words and I just make this loud growling sound, and I kid you not, I saw my breath leave my body.

Like, I didn’t die or anything. I just saw my breath. And it wasn’t cold enough for that. And then my breath started whirling around and picking up leaves and stuff, and before I knew it, there was a full blown (no pun intended) tornado up in there.

At least I got my dog back.

But now I’m stuck in this weird parallel universe where there are Munchkins and Witches, and I’m pretty sure we’re not meant to call them Munchkins in these modern times, and everybody tells me, after I accidentally kill one of the Witches by — yeah, I dropped a house on her; don’t ask me how I did that — everybody tells me that the only way I will ever make it back home is if I gather up a bunch of noble savages and go see some dude called The Wizard.

You know what? I am sick of old white men calling all the shots.

So sure, I played along and made it to the Emerald City, which frankly looks like a craptastic film set, and now, Toto and me, we’re looking for the Wizard.

And when we find him…

Well, let’s just say there’s a storm coming.
