Daughter of winter, child of snow
I have come to dance with you

See me in your crystal ring
Dancing while the mushrooms sing

Your magic wells are my wells too
I’ll even make a wish for you

No need to fear; my wish is true
I’d never play a trick on you

See the crystal path ahead
Fireflies on mushroom beds

See their merry coloured wings
Automata, legs on springs

Your autumn made of light and glow
A perfect October tableau

It called me with a lucent tune
Though I am made for colder moons

And kept me with its goblin caps
If only there were colder snaps

But I am made of winter, so
I knew soon I would have to go

I called the sea to change the scene
And melt me off to sights unseen
